A local dentist plans to open his own practice in East Memphis, but it will not be a typical cleaning and whitening clinic.
In November, John Downey will open Downey Dental Arts at 698 S. Mendenhall Road, a 3,000-square-foot space in Williamsburg Village, for dental and facial aesthetics procedures, including teeth implants and restructuring, Botox and fillers.
“This is not your regular dental office,” Downey said. “I do sedation, so whatever you’re coming for, you’re going to sleep — most of the time that’s getting teeth taken out, getting implants put in.”
